Have I ever mentioned that I fucking hate Cho Chang? No? Well, I do. She’s an annoying bitch. I hate her.

If it weren’t for her, Dumbledore’s Army wouldn’t have been discovered, and Harry wouldn’t have had EVEN MORE problems on top of everyone hating him and Voldemort trying to kill him.

And in the Order of the Phoenix video game, she’s EVEN MORE useless!  I didn’t think it was possible until I played that game. Like holy shit she’s so annoying!

Cho didn’t betray the DA in the book though? It was her sneak friend Marietta. Cho defended Marietta, but of course she would, they’re best friends! You really can’t blame Cho for the DA being discovered.

Cho is a good person. The fact that her and Harry didn’t work out together does make her bad. Harry doesn’t date Hermione or Ron and we don’t hate them because of that! Harry and Cho just weren’t ~compatible~ as well as the fact that in his fifth year Cho was going through some extreme shit. Her fucking boyfriend had just been murdered.

Cho is awesome. She joined the DA and fought in the Battle of Hogwarts and believed Harry in OotP when do few others did. Do you need me to break down why Cho is so awesome? I mean she has a lot of awesomness, I don’t want to overload your brain with it because you seem, well, a little simple. But here goes:

When she and Harry were playing Quidditch she was a better seeker than Harry. And like Harry is a bloody good seeker so Cho must be awesome. Remember when she kept blocking Harry so he couldn’t get the snitch? That very same match, when Cho finally got her chance to grab the snitch the dementors started coming onto the pitch. Did Cho grab the snitch of fly off? No. She shouted to Harry that the dementors were coming because she knew they effected him badly. She hardly knew him and she was willing to risk the game to make sure he was okay. That’s what I call be a fucking good person.

In her fifth year, she refused to wear a “Support Diggory, Potter Stinks” badge, even though she barely knew Harry and was dating Cedric. Why didn’t she wear a badge? Because she didn’t want to hurt Harry’s feelings, even though the undoubtedly would have been annoyed when he got chosen as the “fourth champion” after her boyfriend.

She was the “thing most missed” by, Cedric Diggory. Now Cho certainly doesn’t need any guys to show how awesome she is, she could be single her whole life and still be brilliant, but the fact that Cedric Diggory, who could effectively have anyone he wanted chose her. The fact that she was most missed means it was obviously based on more than looks - Cho was special. Because she’s awesome and like I mean who wouldn’t want her?

After Cedric was killed, she was extremely shocked and distraught. I mean, she every right to be, her boyfriend had been murdered. She could have hated Harry, despised him for living wile Cedric died and called him a liar for saying YKW was back. But she didn’t. She believed him. When so many people did, the one person who had every right to hate Harry chose not to. Because she knows what is right and what she needs to do and she does it.

A lot of slut-shaming goes on in regards to Cho, which is really, really dumb She dates Roger, Cedric, Harry, and Michael while she’s at school. Does this make her a bad person? No. It means she’s hot and empowered and damn I can see why she get’s so many dates I mean have you seen Katie Leung? But anyway, dating people does not make Cho bad, and if you think it does then you are silly and need to stop being so Mrs.-Weaslyish.

Some people also blame Cho for the disaster that was the Harry/Cho date. Are. You. Fucking. Kidding. Me. Harry was, well… terrible. I mean, I love Harry but nobody could pretend he was sensitive or tactful on that date. And if you even dare try to argue it was her fault, or just in general that she’s “whiny” or “she cried too much!!” you are a shit person because I mean come on, of course she was an emotional wreck! Her boyfriend had been murdered shockingly suddenly and hardly anybody believed it!

Personally Cho dealt with Cedric’s death and cried far less than I would have. I would have completely broke down and probably stayed in bed all day - and yet did Cho? Did she lock herself away in her dormitory? Did she hide away and give up? No. She joined Dumbledore’s Army and learned to do a patronus and practiced super hard and became an amazing fighter because she knew that was what needed to be done, to make sure that what happened to Cedric would not happen to others. She swore to avenge his death. What a motherfucking BAMF!

Then after Hogwarts she came back to fight in The Battle of Hogwarts after the got the message on her DA coin. Does that sound like the kind of person who didn’t give a fuck about the DA? No. It sounds like someone who is loyal and brave and awesome and ready to kill some Death-Eater arse. The during the Battle, although Harry and Cho had been really awkward since their break-up, when Harry needed someone to show him the way to Ravenclaw tower, Cho volunteered, putting her we-dated-and-it-ended-weirdly aside because she knew the battle was far more important.

Cho is brilliant. Brilliant super duper. She used Cedric’s death as her inspiration and reason to keep going and fighting the Dark Side. She wanted to end the evil so that there would be no more deaths like his. She was emotional, yes, but she was so brave and smart and brilliant and a damn sight better than a lot of people would have been in that situation.
